Rice Unconventional Wisdom

Center for Civic Engagement

Welcome

Girl on the BikeWelcome to the Center for Civic Research and Design (CCRD), the research component of the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE). Our mission is to cultivate and expand opportunities for Rice undergraduates to participate in research and design projects, under the guidance of Rice faculty and in collaboration with community partners, to address timely questions and issues. We promote course work and individual research and design projects that provide opportunities for students to acquire sound research skills and to use those skills in solving community problems.

Please explore our website to learn more about current community-based research and design projects at Rice University. If you are interested in one of our existing projects or would like to propose a new project, please contact me at post@rice.edu or (713) 348-2223.

I look forward to working with you.
